Travel by Plane

Paros Airport receives flights from Athens daily. The airport is located about 6.2 miles way from Parikia, the capital and main port of the island. Note that alternatively, you can fly to Santorini or Mykonos from many European cities and then reach Paros by ferry. From Paros airport you would need transportation to Naoussa (about a 20 minute drive).

Travel by Ferry

You can also travel to Paros by ferry. Ferries depart regularly from the Port of Piraeus and Rafina in Athens. Ferries from Athens will make a few stops to let passengers off/on at other islands. You should book a ferry with the best travel time. The average travel time from Athens to Paros is about 3 to 5 hours. Sit back, relax, and have a drink! Like airline tickets, ferry tickets should be purchased in advance. Common ferry companies include: Seajets, Blue Star Ferries, Golden Star Ferries, and Aegeanspeedlines. The ferry will port in Parikia, you will need transportation to Naoussa (a 15 minute drive). Please note that ferry crossing can be cancelled last minute due to strong winds and unpleasant sea conditions. I wouldn’t let this discourage you from taking the ferry though, just make sure you have buffer time in your travel plans.
